Who I Am

Misha-thumbnail_b-wI  am but a regular human being (notice that I didn’t use the word “normal” – too relative to actually mean anything), trying to keep busy, trying to live, struggling with issues like everyone else, but never giving up hope. For if hope is gone, then really, what else is there left for any of us?

So, who I am: a white Caucasian female in her early 40’s, with a common Romanian name you’ll see attached to some of the posts and with a nickname I initially intended to hide behind (I have changed my mind since this blog was created – because what’s the point?). I was born in a country in Eastern Europe, and came to the States when I was 24 years old. I have a mother whom I love dearly, a father whom I haven’t seen in more than fifteen years now, and a brother who married a bitch and forgot about everyone else. I studied a lot because I believe a good education can open so many doors. I write a lot because I simply have to put words to paper…well, to Word doc:) I remember when I used to hand-write all my stories, and how I enjoyed that. The feel and smell of the paper, holding the pen/pencil as if it was my most precious possession, flipping pages to go back to a certain paragraph, erasing words that didn’t make sense… and then typing the final version on a old IBM typewriter that made the most infernal noise. I always had to be careful and not do that during my mother’s nap time, the noise of the IBM gave her headaches. Things have changed so much since then. The only reason I don’t mind typing on the computer is that it is so much faster. This is the only reason.

Oh yes, I was telling you about myself. Let’s see, what else? I have few friends, and even fewer who can actually put up with me. I feel strongly about a lot of things, and voice that whenever appropriate. I like to observe human behavior, regardless of the setting. There’s such a wealth of information in that, it is a wonder to me how not many people pay attention to it.

I have a son. Hopefully, someday I can write about him. For now, I relish the memories.

If you want to get to know me, read this blog. Sign up if you want.

Whenever you find yourself bored, please read a book:)
